Hello and welcome to BBW Friendly, Your Information Website! Let me introduce myself, I am Duane Williams, aka LAHorndog/LAH, I am the Founder and Webmaster of BBW Friendly. I was also the founder and Chatmaster of BBW Friendly Chat Channel, which I started in August 1997 on Webmaster IRC server but closed in January 2003.

As of April 3, 2005 BBW Friendly has a new look. I have changed the look of this website and slowly deleting old links and will add many new links over the next several months. I want to thank Rev. Francine Milano of the Spirit Network for designing and making the new BBW Friendly header and the new banners for BBW Friendly and BBW Friendly Dating. I want to thank Mikki's Creations for letting me use the background and graphics on BBW Friendly. I like to thank again, Rev. Francine Milano of the Spirit Network for designing and making the new BBW Friendly header for BBW Friendly Dating and for the NEW BBW Friendly Web Site Award.

A Brief History

How did it all begin? When I wanted to chat with a former friend we went on Webmaster IRC then we found ICQ to chat on. In September of 1997 I switched ISP and started working on my Home Page and the former friend was also working on her Home Page. I noticed how much better hers turned out compared to mine. I asked her if she would help me with my Home Page and she did. Then I thought about having a Website that would be an extension of the chat channel on Webmaster. I asked her would she like to design the website if I started one and she said yes.

In late October and early November 1997 I started looking into a Web Hosting Server. I found one and set it up and on November 22, 1997 and the former friend put up BBW Friendly website. I write most of the words you see on the site. A website that came from a chat channel and a way for all BBP's (Big Beautiful People) to meet. We are constantly changing, adding and deleting pages to what we have now and it is a growing process.

Changes

In the beginning we were not sure what we wanted to be. We tried many different things and ideas we had. We tried to be a meeting place and romance website. We had an email list, ICQ list and even Personal Ads and it was all for free. The main problem we ran into that people started to abuse it and lying on the personal ads. It was for singles serious in meeting other people for romance. We had married people putting up Ads and others just wanting one night stands. Others wanted to make our website and chat channel not so family friendly. We had to close the Chat Channel several times due to the abuse of few who ruined it for many. When the former friend burned out on doing Personal Ads, I removed them. When her computer was stolen and she was no longer able to work on the Website, I decided to change it to its current format. It will always be "Your Information Website".

Now & Future

Our Website offers a variety of different things on your website and on the Internet. There is a lot of information about different BBW organizations and clubs, shopping, magazines, BBW's Websites and Home Pages and other links, plus so much more! Also check out our Awards page of all the awards we have received since coming on the Internet. Near the bottom of the Main Page is our Guest Book, and Free Email.

As you can see you could spend a long time on our website and get a lot of information and links to numerous other BBW sites on the Internet. We hope you do take the time and spend it with us and get to know what we are all about. We know we are not the most popular, or the biggest or even the best but we want to give you a lot of information.
